REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

It is our intention that you have a great experience with Alewives Fabrics from start to finish and we work very hard to meet your needs. Even though we do our best to represent a fabric's true color on our website, everyone's computer and phone shows things a little differently. If you are unsure of a fabric's weight or color we suggest ordering a quarter yard cut (this is our minimum cut), just to be sure. Please be advised that cut fabrics may not be returned unless flawed, incorrect, or a misrepresentation of what you ordered. Please also keep in mind that every computer/phone screen is different, so while we make every effort to make the images on our website as accurate as possible, slight variations in color may occur. Please e-mail any questions, comments or concerns to alewives@alewivesfabrics.com.

DOMESTIC ORDERS

In order to keep your shipping costs as low as possible we do not charge a handling fee for processing your orders. We ship via USPS Priority or USPS First Class. Please e-mail any questions to alewives@alewivesfabrics.com. 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

In order to keep your shipping costs as low as possible we do not charge a handling fee for processing your orders. We ship via USPS Priority International or USPS First Class International. Please e-mail any questions to alewives@alewivesfabrics.com. 

A note about international orders:

It is illegal for us to mark an order on a customs form as a "gift" unless the items were paid for with a gift certificate. It is also mandatory for us to declare the accurate value of your order on your customs form (thanks for your understanding!). Customs charges are not included in our shipping rates and are the customers' responsibility. Once a package leaves the United States, it is no longer in our power to monitor the arrival of your package. In the unlikely event that your order goes missing, Alewives Fabrics is not responsible and will not provide refunds on the cost of merchandise or shipping (but we will do our level best to help you track the package down). Insurance on international orders can be purchased for an additional fee, and is not provided unless specifically requested by the customer. If you would like insurance on your international order, please leave us a note in the "Special Instructions" section of the order form page and we will contact you shortly with pricing. Purchasing insurance on your international order means that should your order go missing, the customer (and not Alewives Fabrics) will be responsible for filing a claim for their merchandise.
